At Black Castle Gamez, Dungeons & Dragons is more than a game: it’s a shared story, a community experience, and a welcoming doorway into tabletop gaming for players of all ages and experience. We are proudly preparing for an exceptional Organized Play experience through D&D Adventurers League, alongside a supportive local and digital community that helps players find games, make friends, and keep adventuring together. Whether you’re rolling dice for the first time or returning to the table after years away, you belong here.
Official D&D Adventurers League Play
Black Castle Gamez runs D&D Adventurers League (AL), Wizards of the Coast’s Official Organized Play program. We chose AL as our organized play for the store because it offers:
- Structured, consistent play with fair, inclusive rules
- Characters you can take from table-to-table
- A fantastic entry point for new players
Our AL tables are run by Dungeon Masters who focus on fairness, friendliness, and fun. Adventurers League will begin Saturday, February 7th, 2026. It will run Saturdays at 6PM. The cover charge is $5 for the whole night. Sessions typically last 4 hours.
New to D&D? Start Here: No Cost Required
Our goal is simple: make your first D&D experience is fun, approachable, and pressure-free. You do not need to own a library of books or a mountain of miniatures to start playing at Black Castle Gamez. We offer New Player Orientations free of charge. Our orientations cover:
- Teaching the basics of D&D and roleplaying
- Explaining rules as you play with a premade character
- Providing guidance on creating your own character
Games for All Ages & Families
We are proud to be a family-friendly game store. We support:
- Dedicated kids tables with age-appropriate storytelling and table expectations
- Family-friendly sessions where parents and children can play together
- Safety tools to ensure everyone at the table is comfortable
Parents are always welcome to ask questions, observe, and participate.

D&D doesn’t stop when our game sessions ends. Black Castle Gamez fosters a digital community that helps players:
